Environmentally Sound & Socially Responsible Energy
The emissions from most fossil fuels are destroying our environment. In a very short amount of time the industrial age has made the air that is being breathed in metropolises essentially toxic, and has begun to eat a hole in the ozone layer that protects everything on earth from the sun’s destructive rays.
The industrial revolution helped many by improving work conditions, introducing unions, and destroying horrendous child labor operations. However, like any revolution this particular one is also responsible for a few problems that have since come to light.
One example is coal mining. This an extremely hazardous profession. Mines collapse, trapping and often killing the miners within. Burning coal is also a very inefficient and dirty way to heat homes and buildings.
Burning oil is also not a clean way to heat, nor are wood burning devices, though many homes have them for aesthetic reasons. Many older homes would benefit greatly from switching their old heating appliances to modern ones that use natural gas. Wood burning stoves and fireplaces, are no longer a necessity. Central heating allows for the homeowner to quickly and efficiently heat the entire home, sometimes this is regulated by a single thermostat, which tells the unit when to turn on and off.
On the other side of this, coal bed drilling, a very modern technology is a way of extracting natural gas from coal sources. Air drilling allows companies like Langley Energy to remove the natural methane gas from the coal, while preserving water supplies and manpower. This method has shown, without a doubt, that forward thinking companies like Langley Energy can lead the industry by taking the initiative and providing environmentally sound and socially responsible fuel alternatives.
With the advent of companies like Langley Energy, clean energy has been able to flourish and command attention into a growing industry. Their exploration and production of natural gas gives our nation a viable alternative to more harmful fuel sources.
You do not have to stand on a pulpit or go on national television to make a difference. The greatest contribution you can make to the restoration of the damage that the industrial revolution has caused is looking into the types of fuels you are using on a daily basis. Can you change and find a better way to achieve the same, if not better results?
Social responsibility means caring about the society in which you are a part of. Environmentally sound means that you are doing no harm to the physicality in which you reside in. These two must go hand in hand if one wants to change the world for a better place.
